May 31, 2010 B.C. University Receives $6 Million Gift

Capilano University announced that it has received the largest private donation in its 42-year history with a $6 million gift from Nat and Flora Bosa. The money will support the University’s new Centre for Film and Animation, scheduled to open in 2011.

May 21, 2010 Historic $20 million gift for new Koffler Centre of the Arts

The UJA Foundation of Greater Toronto announced a $20 million gift for a newly designed contemporary arts centre. The gift was made by Murray and Marvelle Koffler and family, and benefits the Koffler Centre of the Arts.

May 03, 2010 Diane MacDonald to speak at Newfoundland LEAVE A LEGACY™ Event

On May 4, Diane MacDonald, Executive Director of the Canadian Association of Gift Planners (CAGP), will visit St. John’s to promote LEAVE A LEGACY month. She will also present to representatives from the not-for-profit sector on resources that are available to help their organizations implement and grow a legacy giving program. The session takes place at the R. Gushue Hall, Memorial University campus.

April 27, 2010 University of Toronto receives $35 million donation

The University of Toronto is proud to announce the launch of the new Munk School of Global Affairs. An unprecedented gift of $35 million from Peter and Melanie Munk will dramatically expand UofT's research capacity, enable the hiring of new faculty and drive the expansion of new facilities.
